Police have now arrested two men in connection with an assault on a teenager at Rolls Avenue on Wednesday 18th August.

The two men, aged 22 and 27, from the Monmouth area were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and violent disorder. Both men were released under conditional bail.

A spokesman for Gwent Police said: “We received a report of a serious assault in Rolls Avenue, Monmouth at around 12am on Wednesday 18 August.

“A 16-year-old boy from the Cheltenham area was taken to hospital for treatment after sustaining injuries to his arm and back.

“Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information, including CCTV or dashcam footage, is asked to call Gwent Police on 101, quoting log reference 2100290115.
