POLICE are investigating the theft of seven motorbikes and quad bikes from a steel container in a Wye Valley field.
The haul from a property at Whiteleye in Catbrook near Tintern included an Ifor Williams trailer and is thought to worth about £20,000.
Raiders broke into the container sometime between 9am on Saturday, October 31, and 11.30am on Monday, November 2.
Four off-road bikes were stolen with a combined value of more than £10,000.
Gwent Police asked people to look out for and report any offers for sale of a KTM 85cc bike, a KTM 65cc model, a KTM 50cc machine and a Kawasaki 60cc motorbike.
The thieves also stole a red and black Gas Gas 200cc on-road motorbike, registration WO08 LLU.
Also taken were a Suzuki Lt50 yellow quad bike and a child’s 170cc 2013 Polaris buggy.
