A MOBILE phone and a purse have been stolen from a Monmouth restaurant.

At approximately 9.30am on Sunday 3rd July Gwent Police received reports of a burglary at a Pizza Express restaurant in Monmouth.

The offence happened around 8.30pm on Saturday 2nd July.

It was reported the offender gained access to the staff room of the restaurant and took a mobile phone and a purse.
