DOZENS of fixed penalty notices were issued in Monmouth last week as police cracked down on illegal parking in the town.
In a one-day operation on Thursday (27th July), officers targeted illegal parking in Monnow Street where drivers were illegally parking in disabled bays.
Priory Street was also targeted with a number of drivers being issued fines for obstructing the highway.
There were 35 fixed penalty tickets issued throughout the day in total.
The operation was organised following parking being chosen as the ‘Your Voice’ priority for the area.
