A WYESHAM man has pleaded not guilty to a burglary at a garden centre and assaulting a police constable.

Richard Griffiths, of Wyesham Road Monmouth, allegedly entered Millbrook Garden Centre as a trespasser on 14th September, taking a quantity of loose change, batteries and a hedge trimmer to the value of £250.

Griffiths also allegedly assaulted a constable in execution of his duty at his home the following day.

He pleaded not guilty last Tuesday (8th December) and next appears at Newport Magistrates Court on 18th January.
