A FOURTY-four-year-old man from Chepstow has been arrested after an alleged sexual assault last night.

Gwent Police were called at approximately 11.30pm on Thursday (19th October) following a report of an alleged sexual assault in the town.

The house on Hardwick Hill, along the A48, is currently ‘taped off’. Police officers are currently at the scene and enquiries are on-going.

The female involved is being supported by specialist officers.

The man is now in police custody.
