A FIRE engine has been seen on Frogmore Street in Abergavenny as a crew raced to the scene of an incident in the main shopping area of the town.

The emergency vehicle was seen parked with blue lights on near Tesco at approximately 12pm today. The reason for its presence has not yet been confirmed, but eyewitnesses reported seeing firefighters leave a retail unit in the town centre.

We have contacted South Wales Fire and Rescue Service for a statement and will provide an update when more information becomes available to us.
