A FEMALE pedestrian has been involved in a traffic collision with two cars in the centre of Monmouth.

The incident happened just before 11.45am on the corner of Monnow Street and Blestium Street in Monmouth, outside the Robin Hood pub.

It is thought that the collision involved a silver Rover car. Neither the woman nor the drivers have yet been identified.

There are reports that the woman is heavily pregnant.

She was mounted onto a stretcher by paramedics, and police were also on the scene.

The woman has been taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at about 11.45am to reports that a pedestrian had been hit by a car on Monnow Street in Monmouth.

“A paramedic in a rapid response vehicle and a crew in an emergency ambulance attended the scene and a woman was taken to Nevill Hall Hospital.

“No further details are available regarding her condition.”
