UPDATE: THE A449 has reopened after it was closed for more than two hours following a three vehicle RTC.

Traffic was diverted from the Coldra as emergency services cleared the northbound lanes.

A Gwent Police spokesperson said: “At around 9.15am this morning, emergency services were called to reports of a road traffic collision on the A449 Coldra towards Usk road.?

“The road traffic collision involved 2 cars and a van.”

THE northbound lanes of the A449 have been closed between the the M4 and the A472 in Usk as a result of an RTC.

Emergency services are on the scene trying reopen the road, while traffic is being diverted from junction 24 of the M4.
