CHILDREN from Redbrook School are being helped to raise funds for their Parent's Association by an avid Wyesham knitter.

Dorothy Caney, who is 91 and lives in Wyesham, loves to knit and donated every child in the school a woolly hat. Each child has been tasked with selling their hat to raise funds for the school.

Clever pupils have already been using social media to auction their headgear to friends and family. Others have become so fond of their hats that they have bought them for themselves.

Redbrook School has only two classrooms and 35 pupils. Their overheads are large because they are such a small school and the fundraising done by FORS (Friends of Redbrook School) is vital to enable the children to have playground equipment, trips out etc. that larger schools take for granted.
