Graham Waite ventured north to the historic town of Duns, home of racing legend the late great Jim Clark last weekend, to compete on the Jim Clark Memorial Historic Rally, but he'd left the famous Volvo at home, choosing to use his Opel Ascona.
The event is the only rally on the UK mainland to use closed public roads, it was also a round of the British Rally Championship, BRC Challenge, National Tarmac Championship and various regional series.
Eleven stages made up the Historic event with the opening three tests in darkness on the Friday night.
