A police crackdown on crime in Monmouth town centre has led to 33 arrests.

Officers in the town have been concentrating their efforts on the town centre over the past month to put a stop to the growing number of reports of shop break-ins and criminal damage.

The team have also been focussing on anti-social behaviour and graffiti, which are PACT (Partnerships and Communities Together) priorities for the town centre wards.

The 33 arrests were for a variety of offences including criminal damage, theft and public order offences.
