Art in Penallt nearly here

Art in Penallt is expanding it canvas with the addition of a third artist, Alex Brown, to join their two existing patrons, Richard Wills and Walter Keeler.

Alex has been a great supporter of Art in Penallt over the years and the group are delighted that he has accepted their invitation and look forward to working even more closely with him in future.

They also have an exciting new addition to their upcoming event as one of their resident artists, Rebecca Mickelburgh, has given them two artworks - brilliant paintings of goldfish - to raffle.

Rebecca has had a very difficult year health-wise so has had to take a break from painting but wanted to support them, hence the donation. These paintings would retail for £750+ each so they are keen to publicise the opportunity to own one by buying a raffle ticket, available in advance from a committee member or at the Art in Penallt weekend.

They will be auctioning the work produced at their demonstrations over the Art in Penallt weekend at Humble by Nature on August 18th and 19th, boosting the amount that they will be able to give to their chosen charities - St John Ambulance, Monmouth and District Foodbank and Bridges.

Last year they gave away £6,600 to local charities bringing the total to over £20,000 since they started.
