THE Monmouth Walking Club walk is planned for Sunday 8th March with an easy 6 mile local walk.

Treowen Manor House, built in 1627, is regarded as one of the most important country houses built in the county during the 17th century. It is set in beautiful open countryside, affording wonderful views. The walk takes in Treowen and then heads up to Kingswood, and back by way of St Dingat's Church, Dingestow.

Walkers are encouraged to meet in Glendower Street car park at 9.35am with an aim to start the walk at 10am.

New members are always welcome to join Monmouth Rambling and Hillwalking Club and there is a small annual membership subscription.

Suitable footwear and clothing are essential on the walk and it is advised to take a drink and a packed lunch.
