Two strong goalkeeping performances meant Monmouth were able to concentrate their efforts on attack, leaving the nets in the good hands of Joe Porter and birthday boy Isaac Williams.
Despite Chepstow looking the slightly bigger players than their hosts, town put up some solid play and gave their rivals some competitive football play.
