A football development centre set up just nine months ago has won three trophies at an international tournament. The West Bromwich Albion Player Development Centre is based near Monmouth and is run by Andy Bevan and coach Nick Oxford. The centre's Under 7 and Under 8 teams won their respective age groups in the Bolton Wanderers Cup, playing the finals at the Championship side's Reebok Stadium. The Under 10s won the Challenge Cup final, beating Hereford United.
