It has been a very busy and successful month for the ladies of Raglan Parc Golf Club.

The annual coffee morning was held at the end of May. Although the weather had been unpredictable, the sun shone brightly on the day for about 70 ladies from various clubs.

The winners were: Visitors - 1st Marilyn Smith (Alice Springs), 2nd Marion Workman (Monmouth), 3rd Liz Radcliffe. Home – 1st Kath Weatherlake, 2nd Margaret Moorby, 3rd Sue Parker.

The next event was Ladies Members & Guests, which took place on 2nd June. Again the weather was kind and after 18 holes of golf followed by an excellent buffet and sweet, the ladies' captain, Anita Wilkinson, presented the prizes to the winners.

1st Pat McGill and her guest Jackie Quigley (Pontnewydd), 2nd Pat Phillips and her guest Chris Crissel (Herefordshire) 3rd Lyn Jones and her guest Lillian Rawlingson-Winder (Monmouth).

On 6th June, three ladies from Raglan took part in the regional finals of the Silver and Bronze Challenge Bowls and the GUW Medal, this year held at Pontypool Golf Club.

Congratulations must go to the three ladies as they all qualified for the All Wales Final which will take place at Llandrindod Wells in August. The qualifiers were: Silver, Kath Morgan, Bronze, Jacqueline Fogwill, GUW Pat Phillips.

Other competition winners this month were: May Stableford, Jacqueline Fogwill, Spring Cup, Jacqueline Hayes, Isabelle Russell, Julie Rotchell.

Julie goes forward to the final at Monmouth Golf Club in August. The May Medal and Silver Salver was won by Jacqueline Fogwill, Jacqueline will go forward to the The Parc Golf Club along with Jacqueline Hayes and Pat McGill to play as a team in the Irene Strong Silver Salver.

Finally, well done to Karen Hill and Jacqueline Fogwill who played the 1st round in the Dorothy Meacock Foursomes at Blackwood Golf Club. After an exciting and closely fought match, they won on the 18th Hole.
