MONMOUTH youth rugby team have suffered a losing streak the past few weeks.

Their last home match against Talywain, pictured, saw them fall 19-45 in the Dragons DC Youth League to a much more experienced visiting side. The hosts competed well and played some promising rugby but again with a small squad tired in the second half when Talywain brought on their full complement of subs.

Saturday saw them travel to St Joseph’s in Newport and suffered a 25-17 defeat, which with a little more passion and commitment could have been a match they may have won.
