What should have been a home game for the team this week turned out to be an away game due to the pitch being waterlogged and unfit to play.

Despite the change in venue and the weather being rather wet and windy, with the goals being blown away at one point, Ross played a super game which they should have at least earned them a draw.

From the start Ross were determined to gain possession and take the ball to Hereford.

The defence soaked up a lot of the Hereford attacks and managed to clear the ball well up pitch.

Hereford were first to score but Ross turned up the pressure and with the combined force of Louise Cross, Jess Element and Vanessa Ball the ball found the back of the net for Ross.

Ross took the ball to Hereford's D several times in the first half and were unlucky not to find the back of the net.

The second half began and with renewed determination and with the positive attitude that the team could at least gain a draw from this match, the team worked well together with the width of the pitch being maintained by Georgie Jessup and Lucy Perkins.

This gave the centre players more space to work with allowing Becky Pass to run the ball up the middle and into the Hereford D.

It was only due to the skill of the Hereford keeper that Ross where unable to find the back of the net in the second half.

Ross continued to work hard though out the whole game and deserved to come away with a draw.

Charlie Yemm kept fighting throughout the games and controlled the defence well.

A lack of communication on occasions in defence allowed Hereford to gain another two goals during the second half.

Despite being unable to gain a draw, Ross should go away positive from this game.

This was a much better performance than the week before with the team using the width of the pitch to gain valuable space allowing them to push forward.
