One of the oldest annual river races in the UK, the Rotary Club of Monmouth Raft Race, has gone all hi-tech after 47 years.
The 2012 raft race is taking online entries for the event which sees teams compete on home-made crafts on the River Wye in Monmouth.
The fun filled, six-and-a-half mile Monmouth Raft Race, which starts at Monmouth Rowing Club and ends at Tump Farm at Whitebrook, is being staged this year on Sunday 2nd September from 12 noon.
Last year the event raised more than £15,000 for their nominated charity St David's Hospice Care.
Prizes are available for the fastest raft, the best design and best dressed and other special awards on what is a great, fun day out for all the family.
