THORNWELL Football Club started pre-season training last night (Tuesday 7th July) and will continue every Tuesday at the club's ground.

Sessions will start promptly at 6pm so players are asked to arrive at 5.45pm, with both new and old players welcome.

Mathern FC have started training on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Garden City with a 7pm start and all new and old players are welcome.

Mathern FC are running three teams again this season, one in Division 2 of the Gwent County League and two in the East Gwent Senior League.

Severn Bridge FC are looking for new players for next season. After being promoted to Division 1 of the East Gwent Senior League following their first season in which they were runners-up and reached the semi final of the cup, new manager Iain Easton is looking to strengthen the squad.

Training will be every Tuesday and Thursday between 7pm and 8pm during July before they begin a series of friendlies. Contact Iain for details on 07711 264765.
