Monmouth Town's footballers, sponsored by WyeMedia, celebrated their remarkable title-winning season with a low key awards night at Monmouth Sports Ground with many club members being recognised for their efforts.
The team will now be looking forward to locking horns with Welsh League giants Barry Town in next season's first division but not before enjoying a well-earned break.
At the evening, award winners included Dan MacDonald who won the Harry Lewis Memorial Cup for player of the year for his amazing 44 goals – a Welsh League record – despite a three-month gap on loan at Welsh Premier side Carmarthen, where he grabbed another two goals.
Reserve team player of the season and winner of the John Blake Shield was Harry Wilkes, whose ball skills stood out in the second half of the season and who made the first team bench on a couple of occasions. Jack Jones picked up the players' player award.
The Under 19's award went to Tom Burns, who again made a number of first team appearances as did young player of the year Luke Cleaves and players' player for the Under 19s Dan Barnard.
