MONMOUTH Sharks hosted Chepstow Town Cubs for an enjoyable football game last Saturday, 10th January.
Matthew Pinchard, coaching the visiting team said they were all looking forward to the first match of the new year.
The game started in favour of the visitors, despite some strong defending by Oliver Pugh, but Monmouth soon pulled back after some great football skills from Harley Thorpe, Harry Guerin, William Kelsall, Kian Davies, Adam Hawkins and Evan Bastow.
Next week, the Sharks are away to Clydach and the Hawks are on home soil against Abergavenny.
