Usk Under 8s travelled to Monmouth with coaches Matthew Kelynack and Keivan Edwards and took part in a mini football festival on Sunday (12th January).

Giving their hosts some tough opposition, the team did well, scoring a number of goals.

Monmouth players showed they were no push-over with some good goalkeeping and some terrific play up front from the Monmouth forwards.

The Usk team was sponsored by KE Analytics Ltd, and the Monmouth team by Monmouthshire Conservatory company.

The matches followed an Under 7s fixture against Clydach and Raglan.

Under 7s coach Graham Wakerley was pleased with his team's performance, saying that the level of play can only bode well for the future of the squad.
