Chepstow archers the St Kingsmark Bowmen held their first tournament of the year on 11th January.

The event featured seven Team GB archers as well as Olympian Larry Godfrey, who won the Gents Recurve.

For St Kingsmark, there was a gold medal for Ann White in the Ladies Barebow and a silver medal for Huw Jones in the Gents Recurve.

A number of St Kingsmark archers took part in the Llantarnam Double Portsmouths on Sunday 26th January.

There was a gold for Julian Cleak in the Gents Compound and a bronze for Nicola Phillips in the Ladies Recurve.

Ann White won gold in the Ladies Barebow and Heather Schurer gold in the Junior Lady U14.

Tim Dark achieved the exact score of 550 on the Portsmouth round on Wednesday 28th January.

The next club shoot will be on Friday 28th February.

• The club has announced the death of honorary life president and co-founder of St Kingsmark Bowmen Don Hughes, who passed away on 13th January at his home in Bulwark aged 87.

Mr Hughes had a Humanist funeral at the Gwent Crematorium on Thursday 23rd January.
