Following the success of last year's race, Spirit of Monmouth Running Club are proud to present the second Kymin Dash Race, on Sunday 27th April.

The Kymin Dash is a challenging and very scenic 7.1-mile running race, straight up to the top of the Kymin above Monmouth, and back down on a long scenic loop of the Wye Valley.

The course is almost all on tarmac or forest roads. the opening mile or so will certainly give your lungs a workout.

What goes up must come down and there follows a gentle descent through fields and the bluebell carpeted forest tracks before a long flat finish along the Hadnock Road into the Monmouth School Sports Club.

Registration and finish are at Monmouth School Sports Club (MSSC), and the start will be at 11am (there is a 15 minute walk from MSSC to the start).

Prize-givingwill be at MSSC. As last year, there will be prizes for the 'King' and 'Queen' of the hill as well as finishing places.

There will be cake and other refreshments available after the race.

The club is grateful to sponsors Monmouth School Sports Club and Robert Price for making the race possible.

Any profits generated will be donated to ABF, The Soldiers' Charity.

Last year's race attracted more than 100 runners and raised £500 for charity.
