IT was an excellent competition for Karen Forbes of Kestrel Gymnastics Club who retained her British title at the British Veterans Gymnastics Championships held at Lilleshall National Sports Centre in Shropshire.

Karen executed routines on vault, beam, A-bars and performed a great floor routine with somersaults, therefore winning Gold in the 50 years plus section.

Awaiting their turn are nine-year-olds Joel Kohler-Hoon and Joseph Dunster who will be representing Wales this month competing in their first international competition at the British NDP Finals being held at GMAC in Birmingham, with Joseph competing in the Elite section. Both boys have worked extremely hard to qualify for selection through the recently held Welsh NDP Championships in Swansea.
