It has been a busy few weeks for the gymnasts at Wye Gymnastics Club in Caldicot.

First it was the turn of six young Women's Artistic gymnasts, who travelled to Cardiff to compete in the South East Wales Grade 14 event.

Eloise Lloyd, Niamh Shapland, Angelina Gabbiadini, Neve Welch, Poppy Wayman and Emma Yapp all successfully passed their Grade with Eloise, Neve, Angelina and Poppy all gaining a Distinction.

In addition to this, Angelina placed 5th on Beam with Poppy earning 1st place on Floor, 2nd place on Bars, 5th place on Range and 5th place overall.

Poppy will now go on to represent South East Wales in the Welsh Final, which is due to be held in Llanelli at the end of the month.

Some of the Wye Tumbling Squad were also on the move, travelling to Sheffield to compete in the British NDP Semi Finals.

Ioan Edwards had a great competition, finishing in 3rd place overall and taking home the bronze medal.

The other gymnasts did exceptionally well in a very big venue, with Izzie Harris finishing 5th, Mason Riddoch 6th, Dylan Duffield 9th and Mollie Harris 16th.

Gymnasts finishing in the Top 10 in this event will travel to Coventry in May to try and secure one of the Top 8 places required for entry to the British finals.
