In an all-action Forest Fours match at Lydney Lake, Greg Roberts of Iffers Red made the long journey from the North West very worthwhile with a super net to just take the verdict over Wye Angling's Rich Hoskins.

Both top anglers had big nets of around 20 big bream, but Greg added a couple of sizeable tench to tip the scales. It was also close for third and forth, with Forest Nomad, Christian Price beating Keith Hull by the slimmest of margins.

The backing weights were also impressive with over 25 pounds required to come above fifth in section.

Despite losing six or seven big fish, Andy Prosser of Iffers Blue broke away from the pack with a nice net of tench and skimmers from peg 44. Behind Andy were three anglers with less than two pounds separating them.

Iffers Yellow captain Mark Wellington fished a tidy match to take mainly small fish on pellet from peg 30. Mark Hastings and Andy Reid filled the other frame places with similar nets from the conservation area.

Nick Oakley of the Glory Boys topped section A with just over nine pounds to maintain his lead in the individual stakes.
