KESTREL Gymnasts had a good day at the Welsh Novice Agility Championships in Cardiff on 16th July, in their last competition before the summer holidays.
They had to perform three different set tumbles, aiming to link their moves with a good landing at the end.
In the eight years Level 2 section, Olive Dunster, Sophie, French, Lexie Weldon, Amber Price took the team bronze medal. They were followed by the nine to 10 years boys Level 3, with James Davies winning bronze, Mackenzie Thornton taking silver, and Alex Hill-Wilson winning gold.
The nine to 10 year Level 4 girls kept up the pace with Charlotte Jones in second place winning silver, and together with Fay Russell and Willow Summers became team champions winning gold medals and a trophy.
In the 11 to 12 years Level 3 Boys, Tom Hook won gold and Finley took the silver medal, both competing for the first time at this level. In the girl’s section Cora Chisholm won sixth place ribbon, while Tia Jones, Lilli Edwards, Daisy Macharg, and Annie Selwyn enjoyed the experience of their first Novice Agility competition.
