The combined South Wales and South West England Indoor Regional Championships saw the Forest of Dean Athletics Club (FODAC) collect a total of nine medals.

These championships were held for U13, 15, and U17 competitors.

The venue was the National Indoor Athletics Centre which is on the Cardiff Met university complex.

It was a pleasant change for those used to training and supporting outdoors this winter.

Some of the events had very few competitors. Several of the FODAC Juniors got very near or exceeded their personal bests to gain their medals.

Josh Dowle (U17 Triple Jump), Robert Wellstead (U13 Shot Putt and 800mts) won South West medals.

Jensen Coppen won the South Wales U13 High Jump.

There were silver medals for Josh in the long jump and Jamie Monieth in the U113 Long Jump.

Bronze medals were won by Jamie (60mts), Jensen (60 hurdles) and Lilly Crawley in the U13 High Jump.

Amy Dowle also competed in the Long Jump and 60mts. She just missed a medal in the 60.
