Students at Monmouth Comprehensive School were recently able to benefit from £500 sponsorship from Monmouthshire Housing for their Spain Sports Tour.

The trip gave the students an opportunity to experience their sporting interests in a different cultural environment and was thoroughly enjoyed by the 90 students who attended.

The contribution towards the tour helped to finance essentials for the tour, as well as polo shirts for the students.

Party leader Dave Egan said: "We are extremely grateful for the financial contribution that we have received, the students thoroughly enjoyed the tour and learnt a lot from it."
