JAMES Hussey scored an excellent 74 runs, Greg Shaw added 57 and Tom McLaren chipped in with 29 to post a healthy target for Sudbrook at Mill Lane.
In reply, Newbridge lost opener Travis Morgan early on for 12 runs when Jon Clements took a good catch at first slip off Martin Norton’s bowling and despite the efforts of Euan Tippings (57) and Elliot Jenkins (45), only one other batsman managed a double-figure score, spinners Norton and Clements bowling well to limit them.
Norton finished with 3-27 from his nine overs while Clements took 1-28 with four maidens in nine overs.
Gary Morgan also claimed 1-28 with one maiden in his eight overs and there were two wickets for George Comins for just six runs.
Despite failing to take a wicket, Rob Simmonds gave away a paltry 12 runs from his five overs, including two maidens as Sudbrook gained 18 points.
