Monmouth School Rowing Club took part in the Bristol Avon Regatta in Saltford, totalling a healthy five wins throughout the day and achieving two new course records.
Representing the 1st VIII were rowers William England and Daniel Waters, both of whom have recently been invited to the GB Junior rowing trials, Morgan Gray, Sam Kerr, William Gilliland, Tobias Maltman, Alex Buhaenko, Joel Leeb du Toit all ably steered by Gabriel Cronin.
Beating Pangbourne College and Bristol University Old Boys in the final, they set a new course record of two minutes and 52 seconds.
In the senior coxless pairs, it was an all Monmouth School final, with great sporting camaraderie. The more experienced crew of William England and Daniel Waters beat Alex Buhaenko and Joel Leeb du Toit.
Ashley Hunter performed excellently to win his event and thus break the course record while breaking his novice sculling status.
