A Boxing Day football match featuring men in drag and women in football kits has raised thousands of pounds for charity.

The first half of the match, which was in aid of St David's Foundation Hospice Care, was a very close affair with the only goal of the first half an own goal scored by Terry Hollow, making it one-nil to the men in drag.

The second half was a much more open affair with the ladies getting the equalizer from Becky Williams then taking the lead two-one with a goal from Nicole Bond.

Midway through the second half, the ladies extended their lead with a goal from Elizabeth (Buffy) Sharpe to make it three-one then with 15 minutes to go Daniel Roberts shot from outside the area to make it three-two.

The girls, right from the restart, extended their lead to four-two with a goal from Zoe Lewis.

The Drags replied five minutes later with a good header from Dave Pinnell.

In the last minute of the game, Brian Bond scored a diving header in the top corner to make it four-four which meant the game went to penalties.

The penalties finished all square so this year's charity match finished as a draw.
