A former Monmouth School pupil was celebrating last week after being part of Oxford's successful University Boat Race weekend.

Laurence Harvey was cox in the Isis crew which won the reserve race over Cambridge rivals Goldie.

The 19-year-old is reading physics at St Hugh's College.

On a succesful day for the Dark Blues, Oxford also won the toss and cruised to a comfortable victory in the main race.
