More than once I have voiced disappointment with the Tories on Monmouth town council but, with the elections looming, may I, as someone who’s attended almost every meeting of this council in my role as a journalist, speak up for one of them.

Cllr Jamie Treharne - hardworking, courteous and refreshingly able to make up his own mind - has been one of the outstanding success stories of this council.
