No levelling up funds mean no improvements
The UK Government decision not to give ‘levelling up’ grants to any of Monmouthshire’s three bids means that the residents and businesses in Monmouth, Chepstow and Caldicot won’t get the improvements our towns sorely need.
The government should fund local councils properly to deliver public services and not hold taxpayers money back so it can give it out as ‘gifts’ to win political favours.
Time for a general election and let the people have their say.
