The SARA Zip Wire event will be running on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th September at the National Dive Centre in Chepstow to help SARA continue to save lives.

SARA is the mountain rescue team and declared lifeboat for the region, providing a 24/7 365 days cover and responding to over 100 call outs per year from the coast guard, police, ambulance and fire brigade.

The zip wire, at 720m will be the UK's longest over water and we are the first to use the facility.

We are aiming to raise £25,000 on the weekend – this will fund one of our lifeboat and mountain rescue stations for a year.

We still have places left on both days and would welcome people turning up to take part or just watch (subject to zip slot availability).

For those wanting to take part and "turn up and zip" we would be asking for a minimum £30 donation.

We currently have over 200 people taking part so this will be a big event.
