Eleven year old violinist Hannah Roper from Ross- on-Wye is the youngest star of this year's Ross Live! Festival which runs from August 4th – 14th. Hannah, with pianist Rhiannon Davis, will give the closing performance of the Festival on Tuesday August 14th at Hom Church, Walford commencing at 7.30pm. This is the 3rd successful year for the festival which has a wide appeal, especially for young people who are invited to have a go at some of the music, singing and acting events. The programme includes concerts and workshops for all ages. These range from baroque classical, theatre and comedy to folk-rock and the first performance takes place on Saturday 4th August in St Mary's Church. Hannah is a contender in this year's Young Musician of the Year Competition run by the BBC. Tickets for Hannah and Rhiannon's concert are available from Ross Tourist Information Centre (01989 562768) and can be purchased by credit card.
