NATIONAL Assembly Member for Monmouth Nick Ramsay was pleased to welcome representatives from Monmouthshire Youth Council to the Welsh Assembly last week. The Youth Council is a group of young people aged 11 to 25 who live in Monmouthshire. These young people have been selected from right around the county to represent the views of all young people in the region. AM Nick praised the council whose job is to make the quality of life for people aged 11 to 25 as good as possible. "I very much enjoyed meeting members of Monmouthshire Youth Council this week and hope that they enjoyed their trip to Cardiff Bay and the National Assembly for Wales," he said. "Monmouthshire Youth Council listen to and speak up for young people across my constituency and are helping to make a real difference by stimulating and improving communication between young people and their local political representatives, organisations, businesses and services. "By promoting the interests of all young people in the area the council is encouraging quality of opportunity, which should be applauded. "I am looking forward to working with the Monmouthshire Youth Council in my role as a local Assembly member over the coming years."
