CASTELL Roc will be hosting two very different evenings of music at Chepstow Castle during the weekend of Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd August with their Mod:Ska Gold and Simon and Garfunkel Story gigs.

The festival organisers have arranged for two top bands to play in one night at Mod:Ska Gold.

Music will be provided by bands From The Jam and Bad Manners, with both groups playing hit after hit.

From The Jam features’s The Jam’s original bass player and co-writer Bruce Foxton who, along with Paul Weller had 18 consecutive Top 40 singles with the famous band.

The group will play all of the crowd favourites including the likes of “Down in the Tube Station at Midnight”, “The Eton Rifles”, “Going Underground” and “Town Called Malice”.

Joining them on the evening’s line-up will be Bad Manners.

Fronted by larger than life rocker Buster Bloodvessel, the bad has spent more than 100 weeks in the UK charts and will play tunes including “My Girl Lollipop”, “Can Can” and “Walking In The Sunshine”.

The following evening will see The Simon and Garfunkel Story take to the Chepstow Castle stage.

Featuring more than “just the music”, the show will tell the story of how two boys from New York became one of the most successful duos of all time.

A sell-out hit in the West End, the show has received rave reviews for its combination of live performances, photos and original film footage.

Tickets are available for both evenings from Hannah’s Music in Chepstow or from www.castellroc.co.uk – along with full details of the festival.

Both shows start at 7.30pm and the Beacon has a pair of tickets to give away for each night. To enter, fill in the coupon on page 7 of this week’s Beacon and send in to the Beacon offices by Friday 14th August. Select which night you would like to see by answering the corresponding question.
