ON Saturday 27th December Chepstow Racecourse hosts one of the biggest sporting occasions of the jump racing year – Coral Welsh National day.

It's a day that brings lots of national media coverage and a crowd into five figures with everyone excitedly anticipating top class jump racing climaxing in the £100,000 Coral Welsh National.

The occasion attracts the keenest of jump racing fans and families seeking a thrilling day out. Many are local people, but plenty come from further afield.

It's a fantastic event and a welcome opportunity for many to get some fresh air after Christmas and escape the house with friends or family.

Admission badges are in great demand with advance sales already ahead of previous years, so the Beacon has teamed up with the racecourse to offer a pair of tickets to each of two lucky readers.

General admission: Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure £23; Premier Enclosure £32. Accompanied children aged under 16 are admitted free of charge. Senior citizens and students with appropriate identification get a £5 discount; and one carer is admitted free with a disabled badge holder. Advance group bookings of more than 15 badges attract a £2 saving per badge.
