SIR,
My mother and I recently attended a lip reading class in Monmouth and we wondered why, when so many people I have spoken to in and around Mounmouth are hearing impaired, more of them do not attend these classes.
Lip reading is a useful skill and there are also many more benefits of attending the class.
You learn to make living in a semi-silent world much easier to cope with and are able to converse with people in the same situation.
Classes are on Mondays, from 1.30pm to 3.30pm, in Overmonnow Family Learning Centre.
