Last Saturday (15th October) the Monmouth friendly team hosted the Leominster friendly team in a 12-a-side match featuring six better ball matches.

The home team, led by Jack Spary managed a tremendous six-nil victory, with wins coming from Jack Spary and Nigel Morris, Allan Johnston and Vic Bamford, Robbie Williams and Jimmy Hoskins, Simon Williams and Garth Lamb, Tom Fyffe and Tyler Pontefract, Bruce Kennedy and Richard Powell.

Following the match the teams enjoyed an excellent meal prepared by Tony and Elaine Matthews and the rest of their catering staff.

Monmouth team captain Jack Spary made a speech thanking the Leominster team for an excellent day and said he and the rest of the Monmouth team were already looking forward to next years fixture.

A well supported Millennium Pairs Competition was held on Sunday 16th October when Bruce Kennedy and Lloyd Roach led the field with a commendable 90 points.
