She competed against strong opposition from across the UK and Europe and claimed the national title in the Under 14 category.
During the winter season Millie is spending the ski season in Bormio Italy where she’s training with her club Alpine Performance Racing, balancing both ski training and school studies.
“Thank you all for all the support you have given her in the past year and for the continued support to her skiing,” said Millie’s father.
“She is having a great time in Italy and has been training very hard out in Bormio, and it has already paid dividends for her.”
She has received lots of support from the school and her teachers who allow her to balance her academic work alongside her sporting commitments.
Early this year in January Millie travelled with her team to Switzerland to compete in the Welsh Alpine Championships, a difficult event which attracts competitors from across Europe.
Millie raced in the Giant Slalom and Slalom disciplines and in the Giant Slalom, Millie finished 4th Welsh, returning two days later for the Slalom on a technical course seeing many competitors fail to complete the first run.
Throughout the years of dedication and determination Millie was able to finish as the fastest overall Welsh Female Skier, securing the 2026 Welsh Alpine Slalom title as well gaining medals within her age group.
The medals which she earnt from her hard work were presented by Lord Mostyn and Richard Shackleton, Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy in Switzerland.
Millie has also been invited to watch the men’s Olympic slalom race in Bormio later this month.
