'Calendar Girls' brought tears to my eyes. What a joy it was to see this brilliant production in such comfortable surroundings.

Off Centre Theatre and Monmouth Savoy Trust should be highly commended for their tasteful depiction of this emotional story.

The show – like the original film – contained much comedy, punctuated with tear-provoking moments of poignancy. I doubt if many who witnessed this show could honestly deny having felt a lump in the throat or a tear in the eye at some point during the performance.

Thank you to all those involved for a super evenings entertainment.
