THE Environment Agency has issued a flood warning for Monmouth today (Friday 3rd January).
According to the Environment Agency the water level at Ross-on-Wye was 4.4 metres and the level at Monmouth was 4.3 metres and rising.
A peak level of between 4.7 and 4.9 metres is expected this evening. The level at Grosmont was 1.3 metres and rising. The rowing club underpass gates have also been closed.
The Met Office has also issued a yellow warning for wind and rain in Monmouthshire.
