SIR,
Referring to the letter last week from our MP David Davies.
While agreeing with him regarding the Welsh Language and speakers, I do not see the reason why our bills are in both languages.
Most if not all Welsh speakers do, today, speak English as a first or second language.
I have brought this up at a number of meetings I have attended in Monmouth and was advised by both our AM Nick Ramsey and David that this has been looked into and they have been advised that bilingual bills do not incur extra costs.
Now someone here is telling porkies.
If a bill is received with both languages, if possible the Welsh version is, by the majority put into the recycle bag. Waste of paper etc.
Cannot those who wish their bills to be in Welsh request this? I can't see there being too many.
