Volunteers and fundraisers across Monmouthshire donned their trainers on the weekend to Walk for Life, raising vital life-saving funds for the Kidney Wales Foundation. And a host of Welsh celebrities backed them to make the day a huge success, including opera superstar Katherine Jenkins and comedian Rhod Gilbert. Kind hearted supporters in Abergavenny, Magor, Undy and Usk all organised local walks, while in Monmouth there was a sponsored litter pick. All involved were aiming to raise thousands of pounds to help those affected by kidney failure.
